Unable to open password-protected documents

I am indebted to ISVA Member Michael Harding for the following information:

I had some issues opening the documents, and which would not load and did not offer me a password entry field.

I looked this up and found the attached, relating to problems with Word 2007 opening password-protected documents which were created in Word 2010:

I followed the advice and installed Service Pack 3 & rebooted, which does indeed seem to have resolved the issue. I thought this might be of use to other members experiencing the same issue.
